Asian Business Awards

Winning an Award is Not About the Winning—It’s About Recognition of Excellence

No, this isn’t one of those clichéd intros that leads to the familiar phrase, “it’s the taking part that matters.” Winning an award means much more to us than that. For us, it’s about having an objective panel of judges—without bias or agenda—acknowledge that we are excellent at what we do. This recognition is especially meaningful because, as a social enterprise, we are constantly striving for excellence. Achieving excellence isn’t just a business goal; it’s essential to our mission. It’s what enables us to sell our products, reach new customers, and ultimately, make a lasting difference through the training and jobs we provide to unemployed young people from deprived wards of Birmingham.

The Asian Awards at the Dallas Burston Polo Club was a spectacular event, and we were honoured to be among such an inspiring group of attendees. The launch of the 2016 Asian Rich List showcased the high calibre of talent present, which made winning the Young Entrepreneur Award even more meaningful. The hard work behind building a business that not only generates enough revenue to sustain itself but also funds training programmes for marginalised young people is no small feat. When our corporate customers choose our ethical branded macaron gifts, they aren’t just purchasing a product; they’re supporting our mission to change lives, one macaron at a time. This award will help us amplify that message to even more potential clients and supporters, allowing us to continue creating meaningful impact through the work we do.
