“We’re really excited to work with a local business on such a delicious product. We’ve had lots of fun creating a new range of macaroon flavours to match the gorgeous rum! We’re also grateful for the 10% donation from all of the sales – the donations will contribute to supporting young people with multiple and complex needs in gaining work experience through the MacsMAD training course”
– Rosie Ginday, CEO of Miss Macaroon
Miss Macaroon X Burning Barn Rum: The backstory
“We have wanted to do a Limited Edition Rum for a while now – something special and collaborative that celebrated the hospitality industry and our local city of Birmingham. Inspired by beer barrel aged rums in Scandinavia we started contacting local breweries to see if they had a barrel project that would compliment our rum. We found Dig Brew, who kindly sent one of their porter barrels to us.
The last piece of the jigsaw was Miss Macaroon, who we had been in contact with for a while. We were really inspired by their work with young people and, combined with Dig Brew, it made a three way Brum-based collaboration that might give a little back to a sector that has been hard hit by recent events”
– Harry Jenner, co-founder of Burning Barn Rum
