Diwali, Halloween and Autumn Winter: My Favourite Seasonal Macaroons

As the seasons change, so does what we create in the Miss Macaroon kitchen. I love this time of year because it gives us the chance to bring completely different ideas, colours and flavours into our macaroon boxes. From the bright celebrations of Diwali to the playful designs of Halloween and the warming flavours of autumn and winter, there is plenty to enjoy.

As Kitchen Manager, I am involved in seeing these seasonal ideas come together, from preparing the macaroons to making sure every box is ready to be enjoyed. Here are three collections I think are especially worth discovering.

A Modern Take on Diwali Sweets

Diwali is all about light, colour, celebration and sharing, so I wanted our Diwali Macaroon Gift Box to reflect that feeling. We have created a modern take on traditional Diwali mithai using handmade French macaroons, with each box finished with a special Diwali print.

The box includes seven flavours: Mango and Cinnamon, Passionfruit and Mango, Rose, Pistachio, Dark Chocolate and Orange, Raspberry, and Cookies and Cream. Customers can choose boxes containing 7, 14 or 21 macaroons, making them suitable for sharing with family, friends or colleagues.

The macaroons are gluten free and gelatine free, although they do contain almonds and egg, so our allergen information should always be checked before ordering.  

Halloween With a Spooky Twist

Halloween is where we can have a little more fun with the designs. Our Halloween Macaroons to Spook and do Good! feature Jack O' Lantern and BOO! designs, giving a traditional sweet treat a distinctly spooky appearance.

Inside the box are gingerbread and dark chocolate orange flavoured macaroons. The gingerbread brings together ginger and cinnamon, while the dark chocolate orange combines chocolate with orange flavouring.

I particularly like this collection because it shows that Halloween treats do not have to be limited to the usual sweets and chocolate. A box of decorated macaroons can make a fun addition to a Halloween gathering or a thoughtful seasonal gift.  

Autumn and Winter Flavours

Once Halloween has passed, I naturally start thinking about the flavours that make colder days feel a little more comforting. That is exactly what inspired our Seasonal Collection, Autumn & Winter Macaroons Gift Box.

This collection brings together seven flavours: Pistachio, Mango and Cinnamon, Apple Custard, Dark Chocolate Orange, Dark Chocolate Cherry, Champagne and Coffee.

There is quite a variety here. Apple Custard brings warming apple, cinnamon and ginger notes, while Dark Chocolate Cherry combines red fruit flavours with dark chocolate ganache. Coffee offers something richer and more aromatic, and Champagne adds a more sophisticated option for special occasions.  

A Seasonal Treat With a Purpose

There is something else that connects all three collections. Every penny of profit from our macaroons is reinvested into helping young people gain skills and opportunities through our social impact work.

That makes these seasonal boxes particularly meaningful to me. I get to help create something people enjoy, while knowing that every order contributes to a bigger purpose.
