Miss Macaroon secures sizeable grant in time for 10th birthday celebrations.
The Social Enterprise has secured £150,000 of funding from the John Lewis Partnership’s Community Investment Fund. The funding will be spent on Miss Macaroon’s employability schemes, including the MacsMAD (Macaroons that make a Difference) programme. The programme assists disadvantaged young people, aged 18-35 years old, with gaining confidence and skills necessary for the workplace. The fund will be used to pay the wages for recent and future graduates of the scheme.
In the last decade, Miss Macaroon has produced over 2.5 million macaroons and assisted 82 young people in gaining work experience. For more information, click the link below:
