What are our favourite macaron flavours?
At Miss Macaroon, we definitely have some favourite macaroon flavours. We provide over 15 different flavours and they vary from season to season as we have a spring/summer collection and we have an autumn/winter collection. We do however have a classic collection of core flavours that stay the same throughout the year. Some of our favourites are our tonka bean macaroon, this is a slightly softer vanilla flavour and lots of Michelin starred restaurants are using it instead of vanilla. Another Miss Macaroon favourite is our salted caramel, it combines absolutely everything that you might be looking for in a sweet treat! We will choose one more favourite flavour, although this has been very hard to do! Our last favourite is our raspberry macaroon. This is so fruity and fresh tasting, good for summer and winter flavours. We love this one because it is made with fresh raspberries to really make it as fruity as possible!
Top Macaron Fillings
The top macaron fillings that are used most frequently and are what make up a classic or traditional macaron, are buttercream or ganache. The difference between the two is the use of chocolate. Buttercream is what all of your fruity macarons are made up of, whereas your chocolate based macaroons are likely to be made up of ganaches. These are the top macaron fillings, other popular fillings are jams, jellies and curd.
Sweet Treats
If you are looking for the perfect sweet treat to finish your savoury snacks or savour dinner off with, macarons could be the perfect option for you. We know we are biased, but these little elegant and fun sweet treats that are macarons, make a delicious dessert, plus they look for hours on the table or on a plate too! Macarons are a lovely sweet treat too if you just fancy a pudding type snack, they are low in calories but still taste delicious!
Fruity Favourites
Some of Miss Macaroon’s fruity favourites include our strawberry macaron, our lemon one our peach and green tea and our rhubarb ones! These classic fruity flavours work perfectly in macaroons and are bursting with fresh and fruity flavours!
Cheeky Chocolate Macarons
We all know someone who loves some cheeky chocolates, well we could have the perfect new thing for them to satisfy this craving! Our 53% dark chocolate macaron is any chocolate lovers dream, if you aren’t looking for something as indulgent, we also have our blueberry and white chocolate which combines both some fruity freshness and some rich chocolate.
Miss Macaroon’s Choice
Miss Macaroons choice is a hard one to discuss because we really do love all of our macarons! All of our staff do have different favourites, however, collectively at the moment, Miss Macaroon’s choice would be our tonka bean macaroon, the new vanilla flavour that is sending people crazy! You seriously need to give it a try!

Who is Miss Macaroon?
At Miss Macaroon we reinvest 100% of our profits into helping unemployed young people gain skills that will help to change their lives. We are on a mission to bake a brighter future.
Miss Macaroon set up in 2011 with just one team member, a small kitchen space, £500 and a whole load of determination. We are now one of Birmingham’s most well renowned social enterprise companies.
We train small groups of individuals aged 18 to 35 on our Macaroons that Make A Difference (MacsMAD) programme and tailor each ten week course to address their personal barriers to employment. We understand how to be successful in a workplace and use Miss Macaroon’s production kitchen or macaroon and Prosecco bar to practice these skills. Every penny we make is invested in enabling our MacsMAD trainees to build their confidence and skills to become work ready.
What allergens do your macaroons contain?
All of our macaroons contain almonds and eggs. The buttercream based macaroons contain butter. The chocolate ganache based macaroons contain soya in the chocolate.
We have some flavours containing pistachios, peanuts and coconuts. Although we take every precaution to keep ingredients and macaroon flavours separate including a full clean down between producing flavours we cannot guarantee that there won’t be traces of these nuts.
None of our macaroon flavours contain any gluten or gelatine.
How long do the macaroons last?
Our macaroons last for seven days at ambient temperature. You can put them in the fridge for up to six weeks, but do make sure to take them out 20 minutes before eating to get back to the right texture.
