On Thursday, 9th May, Rosie Ginday, the founder of Miss Macaroon, had the incredible honour of receiving an MBE from Prince William at Buckingham Palace. Through her social enterprise, she has dedicated herself to creating training and job opportunities for young unemployed individuals aged 18-35. With this vision in mind, she established Miss Macaroon CIC, a social enterprise that sells delectable macaroons and reinvests 100% of its profits into helping young people regain their footing in the job market.

Empowering Young People Through Macaroon Makes A Difference (MacsMAD)

At the heart of Miss Macaroon is the Macaroon Makes A Difference (MacsMAD) initiative, which offers valuable training courses designed to equip young people with essential work skills and confidence. These courses cater specifically to individuals who may have faced challenges in traditional educational settings, including those dealing with mental health issues, homelessness, and learning difficulties. By addressing these barriers, Rosie and her team empower a diverse range of young people, including ex-offenders, lone parents, and care leavers, helping them to build a brighter future.
