An iconic tower in the centre of Birmingham is to be renamed as Miss Macaroon tower.
Located next to Bullring Birmingham, the tower will be sponsored by Miss Macaroon, a social enterprise which produces hand-made, gluten-free macaroons. All the profits help young people get back into full-time employment, including Care leavers, ex-offenders and the homeless.
The tower will be repainted using Pantone-matched colours from Miss Macaroon’s new cocktail inspired range of macaroons. As a special addition, we will be decorating the iconic tower, popular with photographers and tourists with edible macaroons and a buttercream finish.
Rosie Ginday, Founder of Miss Macaroon, is delighted with the news. She said, “We are really excited that we have renamed the Rotunda after Miss Macaroon. As the only patisserie in world to be able to Pantone match macaroons, it’s a great way to celebrate our unique service.
“Our sponsorship will also bring further opportunities to work with more social enterprises and businesses in Birmingham.”
The Miss Macaroon tower has already gained support from leading businesses, social enterprises and the local press. Future plans for the Miss Macaroon Tower will include a gallery in the foyer of the Rotunda. The gallery’s inaugural show will feature prominent social entrepreneurs throughout Birmingham’s history made entirely from French macaroons.
