Birmingham’s best-known social enterprises is participating in Brexit talks with the UK and European governments.
Miss Macaroon, a specialist producer in hand-made, gluten-free French macaroons, will be sweetening the latest Brexit deal with macaroons to macarons to French President Emmanuel Macron.
The macaroons will be shared among the French President, PM Theresa May and European leaders in a bid to agree on further deals that will benefit the UK and the EU. The sweetened deal, agreed by Macron and Mrs. May, will show a commitment to an enhanced trade deal, defence spending and rights for citizens for both France and UK.
Rosie Ginday, Managing Director of Miss Macaroon said, “I am delighted to be baking macaroons (or macarons I should say) to the Prime Minister and European leaders to help them make negotiations on deals that will satisfy all parties.”
Miss Macaroon’s partnership with the UK and EU Governments will help continue the business’ relationship with Europe after Brexit negotiations have been finalised.
Rosie will be speaking at the European Council Summit in Brussels later this year to ensure the best deal is secured for social enterprises in the UK and EU. Part of Miss Macaroon’s deal with Brexit will encourage SME businesses to participate in sweetening the deal with their products before the UK leaves the European Union.
