At Miss Macaroon our own afternoon tea range is still in its development phase, we are happy to announce that we have three tea-inspired macaroons being sold in our shop. Our Earl Grey flavour has a lemon and cardamom kick to balance with the sweet almond shells, our Peach and Green Tea has a subtle green tea undertone which pairs perfectly with the summery peach filling, and lastly our Matcha macaroons are filled with antioxidants and are right on trend at the moment. We’ll have all these flavours and more on offer at the Great Western Arcade this week - why not come down and give them a try?

The Tea People is an award winning company who stocks high quality green, black and herbal infused teas, all whilst giving back to the Darjeeling community which grows some of the finest teas in the world. Whilst it is an area famed for producing “the champagne of tea” attracting thousands of tourists every year, Darjeeling suffers from massive socio-economic and political problems, with an extreme wealth disparity between the richest and the poorest of this society. The profits made by The Tea People go towards funding schools in the region. Through this, they can improve their infrastructures and the overall quality of education in order to uplift young girls and boys out of the cycle of poverty and up the social ladder.

On top of being an admirable social enterprise, The Tea People produce 71 different flavours of loose leaf tea, including exciting blends such as Moringa Passionfruit fruit tea, a Lemon Verbena Detox herbal tea, and a classic decaffeinated English Breakfast black tea.
